I grew up in Orange, NSW, the eldest of 5 children. I was given my first DSLR when I was 14 years old and since then haven't been able to put it down. In 2012 I spent 6 months with Youth With A Mission in Kona, Hawaii doing a Discipleship Training School. As well as growing in my knowledge of who Abba God is, I was able to study photography and social justice. We learned how to tell stories through our photography and create awareness for issues of injustice. After spending 12 weeks living in a township outside of Cape Town, South Africa I discovered it isn't only western women who struggle with issues of value and self worth, this is a global issue. After returning home to Orange I ran a program in a local high school where I was able to use my photography to show girls and young women how beautiful they truly are. My dream is to continue in a volunteer role or missions organisation and I hope to be able to support myself through my photography.
Since 2014 I have had the opportunity to shoot many weddings as well as being invited to shoot family events (parties, baptisms, reunions etc) and engagement/anniversary sessions.
I particularly love photographing nature scenes; capturing the beauty of a sunset, a majestic landscape, or the details in a flower or a bee. I love light, colour, texture and shapes. I love finding the beauty in everyday moments.
